The main aim of the program is to train highly-qualified mathematics teachers in accordance with the objectives of Turkish National Education and adherent of Ataturk's Principles and Revolution. In order to transform their theoretical knowledge to practical abilities,  students are assigned to secondary schools for both classroom observations and practice teaching in the final years.

Every year, nearly 120 students are trained by the Professional instructors in the program.

The program offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in mathematics teaching.
